Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the activities of the Incolink Training, Employment and Careers Unit (TEC) since its establishment in September 1994. This overview will explain the functions of the Unit and how these functions integrate with other Incolink services.
The TEC Unit provides a comprehensive range of employment-related services based around placing unemployed building and construction industry persons back into work; providing funding for training so that workers can gain extra skills to improve their employability; coordination of an extensive on-site training grants program; and the provision of a range of careers-related information and services.
