Securing employment is a major issue for senior and graduating students. One of the most common problems identified by employers is that students tend to undervalue and undersell their employability skills. Employability skills include those skills, attitudes and behaviours that provide the basic foundation to get, keep and progress in a job and to achieve the best results. Research carried out with employers, parents and students identified a need for a process that would prepare and equip students for the transition from classroom to the workplace that provided them with self-marketing skills enabling them to successfully secure employment.
