Alvin Toffler's book, "Future Shock", is now some 16 years old and
yet we are still trying to come to terms with the increasing rates of
change in our lives that he so vividly described. Rosabeth Moss-Kanter,
author of "The Change Masters", claims that in many highly competitive
industries "the mean time between surprises is shorter than the organisa
tion's reaction time".
