Abstract
This article describes a project that has been initiated by the Western Australian Institute of Technology, where worksite health appraisals and stress management programs are conducted. The justification for these programs and a conceptual framework of the types of programs are provided. WAIT has conducted over 350 health assessments and has run nine worksite stress management programs in the first year of the "Healthworks" project. The organization and details of these programs are described, and questions which managers need to consider before introducing worksite health programs and new initiatives associated with the project, are also covered.
