Work motivators of early and mid-career personnel are central to human resource administration. Among
others, multinational organisations need to know, "How unique is the structure of Australian work-
reward preferences?" A tentative answer derives from a comparison of Australian and American thirtyish
executives who are pursuing a part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
