There is a generally recognized need within Australian Industry to identify and develop the nation's
future senior managers. The current economic climate, the pressure of international competition,
organizational growth and restructuring, the increased involvement of industry and government, and changes
in social patterns and expectations all indicate that future managers must be adequately prepared to ensure
organizational vitality and survival and growth.
