Abstract
It is doubtful whether he knows, or for that matter cares much, about the other aspects of industrial relations. Understandably he is concerned most about how he will be affected by a dispute — whether he will have enough petrol to drive his car, or a train to catch to get to work. It is in these hip-pocket areas that the media sees the greatest value from industrial relations, relegating the deeper aspects well down the priority list.
