Labour Turnover is still a problem in many areas. It is one that could be reduced by filling some vacanciesfrom a source
of employment that is still virtually untapped —the Intellectually Handicapped. The training the handicapped receive
prior to placement, the problems that can be faced by eniployers, and the methods that can be used to overcome them are
discussed. The advantages. that accrue to employers who employ the handicapped are outlined along with the subsidies
available to cover the costs of on-the-job training.
