Abstract
The educational exchange relationship between Japan and the United States is quite complex. It is characterized by imbalances and asymmetries in the number of students and scholars going across the Pacific, translations of books and journals, and in other knowledge products. This article discusses the nature of the educational interchange between Japan and the United States and makes recommendations for the improvements in all aspects of knowledge exchange.
