Abstract
As an extension of the theme presented during the conference plenary session, "Health and the environment", the forum focused on a case study, with a discussion of the results, methods and strategies of "Proyecto Salud Para el Pueblo ", a highly successful health promotion/environmental health development project on the Santa Elena Peninsula of Ecuador.
