Abstract
A method of retaining bacterial cells in place on glass cover slips or on electron microscope films for cytochemical tests was described. The method consisted basically of applying a film of "formvar" over the cells on cover slips or on electron microscope object-supporting screens. The "formvar" film did not interfere with many stains and cytochemical tests, nor with the use of enzymes.
