The reviewer is not happy with the expression—interpersonal conflict of laws. Once the reviewer found to his chagrin that the title of his paper had been modified by the editor without consulting him. See Conversion and Inter-Personal Conflict of Laws in Islamic Law in Modern India, 1972, (p. 128), for the expression “conflict of laws” which has acquired semantically a different meaning in the legal world. The serious study made by the author in the field of persoxnal laws may be mistaken for a work in the area of private International Law and may escape the notice of many. Of course, a discerning reader finds a good number of reasons given by the author for using this expression
