Pakistan has been a member of UN since 1947, and along with the uncertainty the Human Rights has been shown disrespect in every sphere of every human being living in that country. It had ratified Racial Discrimination Treaty on 21 September in 1966 and acceded the treaty of Discrimination against Women on 12 March 1966. It signed the rights of the child on 20 September 1990 and ratified it on 12 November 1990

A survey conducted in 1995 of over 100 rural households in the province of Punjab found that only 36 women owned land in their own name and only 9 of them had the power to sell or trade it without permission of the male members of their household. The rate of crimes across the country increased, 40 people were killed on the grounds of belief. Crimes against women, including murder and rape continued to climb. In Punjab about 315 women killings were there, 861 other women were murdered and 620 became victims of rape. The sexual abuse of children seemed to be more rampant than expected. The issue of the smuggling of children to Middle East for use of camel jockey surfaced again. The tribal violence claimed 88 lives in various parts of the country and 192 persons died as out come of police encounters. These included 155 criminals and 37 members of law enforcing agencies
