Abstract
The success of contract farming is dependent on factors which are related to farmers, the market and government policies. The decision to start an agri-business based on contract farming is a complex one, and an entrepreneur has to consider many inter-dependent factors. The case presents a successful case of contract farming. However, the protagonist, who is planning to launch his own venture, faces many pertinent questions. Not only are the answers of those questions important, but the bases of those answers, and the level of confidence of protagonist too are equally crucial. The case helps in understanding and unravelling complexities of contract farming.
