Abstract
The case describes a series of steps taken by the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asia Petroleum Limited (APL) to implement his corporate renewal plan with twofold objectives: to determine the future direction of the company, and second, to improve current operational performance with a view to satisfy different stakeholders, especially the investors. The option for the future was to convert the current oil transportation business into the power sector.
