Abstract
The present study deals with the comparative analysis of body composition of 200 (100 each) randomly selected Meitei male patients with confirmed HIV/AIDS and Pulmonary Tuberculosis co-infected, and only Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients, aged 20–40 years, collected from the JN Hospital Porompat, RIAC Centre of Khergao, Irilbung, Keirao, Kumbi, Lei-ingkhol TB hospital, DOTS centre of Nongmeibung, Bamon, Leikei, and Yaiskul. The findings of the present study show highly significant difference in all the seven anthropometric variables as evident from “t” value. Many such studies have furnished the clinical profile of Tuberculosis in HIV positive persons in USA and Africa; however, there is a paucity of such data from India. Hence, it is important to study their profile, as it would help in making an early diagnosis and treatment.
