For many years, local assemblers had dominated the Indian PC industry. By the end of 2003 they still continue to hold over 50 per cent share of the overall PC market. The structural environment was characterized by the presence of large number of small assemblers. The underlying economic causes seem to favor the present structural environment.
The case is about an assembler, Hotline Technologies, based in Bangalore, India that was seeking local dominance in its geographical area of operation.
