Abstract
A study conducted in Moscow and Ivanovo cities of Russia, using qualitative meth ods of research, namely, focus groups and in-depth interviewing, indicated that in the post-liberalisation scenario, the attitude of the people towards sex and marriage is undergoing a rapid change. In the respondents' opinion, premarital sex is quite admissible and marriage is seen as an institution related to life when one wants to procreate. The study recommends some actions to be taken in order to impart educa tion on sexual and reproductive health issues.
