The IGSAC (1991) proposed a South Asian Development Fund (SADF) which goes beyond the two institutions proposed at the Maldives Summit. The SADF would supplement the Funds proposed at the Male Summit and it would also provide short-term resources to the SAPU mentioned earlier.
