Abstract
This article deals with the issue of establishing barracks in Prussian cities after the end of the Napoleonic Wars. The city of Breslau (modern-day Wrocław) was chosen as the as the case study. The main theme of the article regards the challenges associated with quartering Prussian troops in the city in the period between 1815 and 1848, with particular emphasis being placed on the condition of available barracks. The main narrative axis of the text concerns the issue of building new barracks for the 1st Cuirassier Regiment that was stationed in the city.
