This work is concerned with the fire behaviour of unsaturated polyester resins and particularly with the limiting oxygen index and oxygen consumption data. The influence of styrene level on the rate of heat release is shown. The combustion products of the resins are identified. No change in the nature or proportions of the evolved gases could be detected with different amounts of styrene.
