The effects of particle volume fraction, strain rate and interfacial bonding strength on the tensile properties of glass bead- filled high density polyethylene (HDPE) composites have been studied experimentally. The results show that when the interfacial adhesion is strong, both the Young’s modulus and tensile strength of glass bead/HDPE composites increase with increasing particle volume fraction and strain rate.
