Abstract
There is a profound current within the Scottish psyche (as much for individuals as for nation) which looks deeply in towards that place where the core, authentic self can be found. For new friends and old, the Scottish heart desires that this core should find succour; provision for the energy that is required in order to self-actualise and ‘become’. It is a blessing offered over whisky, in front of peaty hearths, late at night, in liminal spaces.
