In this acticle I want to introduce the work of the painter Marlene Dumas. The human
condition (m/f) and religion are important themes in her work. I explore the
question if she is a feminist, religious or neither but an artist with just
provoking ideas? In my opinion she is in her provoking ideas at the edge of both
feminism and religion.
