In this article, the authors were informed of a potential error in Fig. 3D of the original manuscript via a post on Pub Peer. The authors investigated the figure and found during the preparation of Fig. 3D, the representative images of “Human-CK8/18-CD31-DAPI” and “Mouse-CK8/18-Flk1-DAPI” groups were inadvertently misused from an image of “Human-CK8/18-Desmin-DAPI” group, which was captured during the same experiment procedure (with distinct antibodies) but was not selected as the representative image of that group. The corrected immunofluorescent images of “Human-CK8/18-CD31-DAPI” and “Mouse-CK8/18-Flk1-DAPI” groups were shown in the updated Fig. 3D (also see updated figure below). The authors sincerely apologize for the mistake and any inconvenience caused and confirm that it would not affect any results and conclusions of the paper.
