Abstract

This issue of Environmental Values marks the beginning of a new era for the journal, as Sage take on the mantle of publisher on behalf of our original publishers The White Horse Press (WHP). The family-run WHP has provided an exceptional home for the journal, and its world-class, independent, interdisciplinary scholarship, for more than 30 years (see Spash, 2022). We, along with all our editorial team and previous editors, are extremely grateful for this. We are sure that all those who have enjoyed and learnt from the journal over those years will not only continue to benefit from Environmental Values, but also want to stay informed about all the other journals and books that The WHP will continue to publish. See https://www.whpress.co.uk and WHP social media feeds for details of these.
Our primary goal in joining Sage is to enable the scholarship in Environmental Values to reach further – seeking a larger and broader readership in today's globalised academic world. Given the enormous growth of scholarship focused on environmental philosophy, ecological economics and critical environmental social science since the journal was founded in the early 1990s, we are also hoping to encourage contributions from a greater number and diversity of contributors. Sage's strengths – especially in the social sciences – will contribute significantly to our ability to reach these goals. We are all looking forward to this exciting new chapter in the life of the journal, beginning with two Special Issues: this issue focussing on technology and the next issue, which will celebrate and engage with the ground-breaking work in ecological economics of our former Editor Clive L. Spash.
Sage Journals will now be providing an online home for the journal https://journals.sagepub.com/home/enva and we hope that both existing and new contributors will continue to submit innovative and exciting new work to us via our new submission system SageTrack https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/environmental_values.

Note from The White Horse Press
We are delighted that our new partnership with Sage promises to bring access to a wider readership and that more efficient publishing processes will enable Environmental Values to grow beyond what we could possibly achieve alone. We would like to clarify that we will continue to own Environmental Values and work closely with the editorial team. We are extremely grateful for the team's patience and good humour in this time of transition, and for all that Tom and Norman, in particular, contribute to the journal. We will strive to ensure continuity of its unique spirit and the enduring human relationships out of which the journal's success has grown.
