Abstract
The reviews of the journal are intend ed to be more than guides to purchase or borrowing of the material listed, for they are often read as personal comment on aspects of theory and practise in library and information work and as short informative arti cles. Our reviews are usually of at least 750 words and our 'Guidlines to reviewers' note that 'Well-based crit ical comment is preferred to bland statements'. Some publications are used as pegs for occasional longer review articles of some 1500-2000 words.
