Abstract
The Journal of Librarianship is pleased to print five of the papers presented at the Library Association's Conservation Seminar held at the Ivanhoe Hotel, London, on 17 October 1984. Sir Harry Hookway, the LA's president for 1985, who has a particular interest in conserva tion and who attended the seminar, has kindly provided a general introduction to the papers.
