Abstract
Traces the growth of degree courses in librarianship and information science in non-university institutions of higher education in Great Britain since I966. A list of all courses approved between September 1968 and June 1975 is given and the personnel of the Librarianship Board together with all changes is recorded. The role of the Board as advisers to the Council for National Academic Awards on standards of library provision in colleges is discussed and the article ends with a survey of trends and prospects for the future.
