An analysis based on a statistical survey undertaken in 1971 of the request and reservation service provided by Nottinghamshire County Library. The survey method is described, results are tabulated and the most significant results and conclusions arising from the survey are discussed. The effects and implications of such a survey on the service are outlined in a footnote by the County Librarian.
