Abstract
An account is given of a survey carried out by OSTI in January I968 of inter-library lendirig in eight local areas; four of which had formal co-operative schemes and the others had not. Academic, public and industrial libraries participated in the survey. An analysis is given of the more important factual information collected and shows the needs of the different libraries and the relative parts played by the various channels in satisfying requests.
