Abstract
This is a report on the 38th Near Infrared Forum in Tokyo. This was our first in-person meeting in three years, since 2019. Due to the fact that COVID-19 is still in effect, some of the sessions were also online, considering the restrictions on international travel and the keeping of social distance. However, as a result, the event was a success with over 200 participants.
