Abstract
Expressions for the illuminance on inclined planes from uniform diffuse and CIE overcast skies are used to determine the total flux incident upon a class of domes. An accurate model of flux transfer is then employed to predict the average daylight factor within translucent domes, but it is concluded that under most circumstances a simple approximation is adequate.
