The authors provided raw data and explained that the same model was utilised in both articles, but in different experimental contexts.
Evaluation by the Journal Editor confirmed that several core datasets including lipid peroxidation (LPO) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) are numerically identical across both publications, and that the hexokinase activity dataset reported in an earlier paper was part of the same experimental series underpinning the later publication. This data was presented as if independently generated but appears to have been reused without disclosure. Additionally, the raw data provided by the authors did not match the published values.
Due to the extent of data overlap without attribution that call into question the integrity of the findings, this article has been retracted.
