Design and experimental study of a power matching control system for a working device of a tree transplanting machine

Abstract

When the load changes frequently during the operation of a tree transplanting machine, the load power of the hydraulic pump fluctuates greatly, causing the engine to frequently work in a high fuel consumption mode and suffer serious power loss. To enable the working device of a tree transplanting machine to save energy when operating under a variable load, power matching between the engine and the hydraulic pump is required. In this article, a power matching control system is designed based on the working device and hydraulic system of a tree transplanting machine and is modelled and simulated by AMESim software. A power matching control test system is also built and tested. The modelling, simulation and testing results show that the power matching control system can stabilize the engine speed near the target speed and achieve an obvious energy-saving effect, reducing fuel consumption by 9.79% compared to that of the traditional hydraulic system.
