Abstract
A robust adaptive control method via multi-model switching for single input/single output discrete systems with unmodeled dynamics is presented. The key procedures of this control scheme have given a multi-model set, which is composed of multiple fixed controller models and two adaptive controller models to enhance the speed of computation, and index switching function, which is assured to be stable for the closed-loop systems. The control scheme is simple and practical to improve the dynamic system’s transient response and robustness and also has a broad future in engineering applications. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, which has high performance with a short tuning time, small overshoot and good robustness.
