Labour market policies are central to the de velopment of social policy. This article is based on interviews with politicians, business leaders, trade union leaders, representatives of welfare pressure groups and media persons in six countries (UK, France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Greece) on a range of social policy issues, including labour market policies.
