Abstract
Preliminary results from the first national survey of journalists ever carried out in Britain were published at the beginning of the year as The News Breed: British Journalists of the 1990S. The researchers, ANTHONY DELANO, Senior Research Fellow at the London College of Printing and a former Managing Editor of the Daily Mirror, and JOHN HENNINGHAM, Professor of Journalism at the University of Queensland, reflect on some of their findings.
