Abstract
Dennis Potter is a playwright, author and journalist. He is also, as this edited version of a recent lecture on Channel 4 television demonstrates, a considerable polemicist. The lecture was delivered during the run of his latest controversial TV series Lipstick on Your Collar, which he trenchantly defends against some of its critics.
