Abstract
Symmetrical drug-related intertriginous flexural exanthema (SDRIFE), formerly known as ‘Baboon Syndrome’, is a rare benign allergic reaction, often triggered by systemic drugs. This case report presents a 37-year-old woman with syphilis who developed SDRIFE following benzathine benzylpenicillin treatment. This is the first published case of SDRIFE during syphilis treatment and emphasizes the importance of early recognition and specialist input to ensure safe and effective treatment continuation.
