The Prosperity Index methodology is about developing new forms of community-based, community-led knowledge about the determinants of prosperity to inform planning, policy, decision-making and action between policymakers and local communities. In Dar es Salaam, the approach was used to foreground lived experience and knowledge about context-specific challenges to inform the design of more effective interventions in subsequent phases of work.
