Background: Plagiarism, an act of copying words and ideas of others without due attribution, promotes academic dishonesty and constitutes intellectual theft. A negative attitude towards plagiarism indicates penchant for academic integrity, while positive indicates acceptance of plagiarism. Reports have revealed that some Library and Information Science (LIS) undergraduates in Nigeria appear to have a positive attitude towards plagiarism. Previous studies have focused largely on LIS undergraduates’ perception of plagiarism, with little consideration for factors predicting their attitude towards plagiarism, digital literacy skills. Purpose: This study, therefore, investigated digital literacy skills and attitude towards plagiarism by LIS undergraduates in southwestern Nigeria. Research design: The descriptive survey research design of the correlational type was used. Study Sample: The total enumeration method was used. Data Collection: The questionnaire was the research instrument. Results: Results showed that most of the LIS undergraduates (about 59%) displayed a positive attitude towards plagiarism. The level of digital literacy skills of the respondents was moderate (weighted mean = 2.65 out of a threshold of 4.00). There was a positive significant relationship between digital literacy skills and attitude towards plagiarism (r = .380**; p < 0.05). Conclusion: The study concluded that negative attitude towards plagiarism is critical to avoid the act in its entirety. Therefore, LIS educators should teach undergraduates about what plagiarism is and how to avoid it.
