Abstract
In the claw-type vacuum pumps, the rotor pair is a vital component, the rotor profiles are mainly affected by the performance of the claw-type vacuum pumps. Therefore, this study proposes a novel profile for unequal rotor pair considered geometry optimization to improve the performance of claw-type vacuum pumps. The proposed unequal rotor pair's geometric models and profile equations are established since geometry parameters of unequal rotor profile evaluated and optimized to improve the performance of claw-type vacuum pump. Moreover, the influence of geometry parameters on the working area ratio and sealing line length are presented. The numerical results indicate that the performance of claw-type vacuum pumps with novel unequal rotor profiles has improved significantly compared to the traditional rotor profile. The working area ratio of the proposed pump is higher 7.2% than that of the traditional pump. The working sealing line length of the proposed pump is shorter 31.89% than that of the traditional pump.
