Abstract
In this paper, a sensorless control strategy of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) based on enhanced super twisting sliding mode observer (STSMO) is presented. An adaptive factor is introduced into super twisting algorithm (STA), and the STSMO is devised by combining the enhanced STA with the sliding mode observer (SMO), to realize the goal of successfully suppressing buffeting. In conventional SMO algorithm, the application of a first-order low-pass filter (FOLPF) for filtering will have the disadvantage of insufficient filtering capability. The cut-off frequency (COF) of conventional FOLPF is fixed, and filtering effect will deteriorate when the motor speed alters. Therefore, this paper designs a second-order variable cut-off frequency low-pass filter (SOVCOFLPF) to effectively filter noise and harmonics in estimated back-EMF signal. A variable phase delay compensation (VPDC) is employed to compensate phase delay incurred by devised low-pass filter (LPF). The observation efficiency and robustness of the presented enhanced STSMO are verified by simulation and experiment.
