Abstract
This paper focuses on the detailed modelling of the synchronization process for a wet dual-clutch transmission. The working phases and principles of the synchronizer are investigated. Some parameters which affect the synchronizer process significantly are discussed and considered to improve the accuracy of the model. The simulations and experimental results have demonstrated that the synchronizer model has sufficient validity and accuracy. The model is applied to analyse some of the special dynamic behaviours. The results indicated that the model provides a practical simulation platform for further study of the synchronizer.
