In the context of manufacturing tolerancing, this paper presents two approaches of three-dimensional machining simulation. The first one uses a computer aided design (CAD) model to extract geometrical data needed by the small displacement torsor model of manufacturing errors. The second one uses a CAD/CAM (computer aided manufacturing) system to virtually manufacture the part by integrating the manufacturing errors.
