Two families of polyaramides containing well defined oligo(tetrafluoroethene) segments were prepared from novel N,N'-bis(m-and p-aminophenyl)-perfluoroalkane-cwdicarboxamides in a solution polycondensation processes. The influence of the fluorine content, the substitution pattern of the aromatic rings and the oligo(tetrafluoroethene) segment lengths on solubilities, thermal degradation and phase transition temperatures was investigated.
