Abstract
Entrepreneurial education evokes considerable controversy. For some, it portends a re-examination of the guidelines of educational policy, while for others it raises the fear that the market economy is sneaking its way into the sheltered recesses of school. Confusion about the meaning of the term exacerbates the situation and we wonder if we are talking about the same thing. Could entrepreneurial education be a solution to youth unemployment or even a partial solution? While the author examines these issues in the specific content of Finnish schools, the principles discussed are applicable at all levels of education and internationally.
