Abstract
The implementation of a tele-learning system by the Japan Management Association is described. Costs, course content, and student evaluation are outlined. The article compares the merits and demerits of a tele-learning system against those of the other distance learning options in Japan: correspondence courses in private universities and The University of the Air. Finally, the article describes the recent development away from use of telephone lines towards satellite transmissions.
