Abstract
The Business Leadership Program at the University of Puget Sound aims for excellence both in the technical areas of business and in the analytical skills gained through broad exposure to the liberal arts. Designed to provide high-quality business managers for the future workforce, the Program ensures that students learn about and experience the world of business in a number of ways. Guest speakers appear on campus to discuss topics related to leadership and business management. Each student is involved with a business executive who acts as a corporate mentor. The student also completes an internship which is designed to round out the classroom education through experience of the daily workings of an organization. James Wiek describes the establishment and development of the Business Leadership Program and details the ways in which the university is able to interact with business organizations in achieving the Program's objectives.
